The trio of investor-philanthropist Vicky Patel, veteran film producer Steve Barnett, and singer-actor-writer-producer Alan Powell launched Monarch Media just four years ago. In that short period of time, Monarch has become one of the most prolific independent financiers in the film and television business. Monarch is currently financing and producing the Sony Pictures holiday release, JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM, starring Antonio Banderas, and is in post-production on three additional high-profile feature films: the comedy HITMAN, from Academy Award winner Richard Linklater, the musical SOMETHING HERE with original songs from Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, and the military thriller VALIANT ONE, starring Chase Stokes and Lana Condor. Monarch has also recently moved into television with Kenny Ortega and Kristen Chenoweth’s docuseries, “1300 Miles to Broadway”.
